Also known as the “Switzerland of Morocco”. Known for its charming European-style architecture. The picturesque city attracts tourists all year round. Especially when the snowy season begins, turning into a winter wonderland.

Continue to the cedar forest, home to the endangered Barbary macaques. Enjoy the quiet city amidst ancient trees. Feeding the monkeys is allowed here, but it is important to be cautious to ensure their safety.

Midelt

Next, we head to Midelt a charming city in the Middle Atlas Mountains. It is famous for its apple orchards. The apple grown here is exported all over the world. Contributing to the economy of the region.

Ziz Valley

But also serves as an irrigation system for the surrounding oases, orchards and forests.

As we approach the end of our fifth day, the journey from Merzouga to the Dades Gorge offers an incredible transition from golden dunes to rugged mountainous beauty.
