Day 1: Arriving in Agadir
Your adventure starts today in Agadir, a beautiful coastal city with warm weather, gorgeous beaches, and friendly people. Smile as you enter the city, and start your day with a peaceful walk along the beach. Green hills surround the sandy stretch where you catch sand ripples while haplessly reclining on the warm sand, listening to the delightful melody of the sea waves.
After some time at the beach, we will take you to the popular Kasbah of Agadir, an ancient fortress perched on a hillock providing some beautiful vistas of the city and the ocean. This is also a perfect photo location. Following this, during your excursion, enjoy time at the busy Souk El Had, a major bazaar where you can buy fresh fruits, spices, and beautiful Moroccan handicrafts. You are then ushered to your hotel for an overnight stay in Agadir while you’re just finished visiting sights in town.
Day 2: Agadir to Taroudant
On Day 2 of 5 day journey from Agadir, drive towards Taroudant, an appealing city replete with history. The ride between Agadir and Taroudant will take you an hour and a half, and in between, you will enjoy some magnificent landscapes of the countryside. Taroudant is also tagged as ‘Little Marrakech,’ as it shares the same red walls and narrow streets.
After your arrival, you will visit the famous city walls that date back several centuries. Take a stroll in the old medina, where you will find shops selling everything, from jewelry to carpets. The markets are alive with color! Enjoy the tasty local food, including couscous and tagine. After the day’s activities, you will have another relaxing night in Taroudant.
Day 3: Taroudant to Ouarzazate
On Day 3, we will drive to Ouarzazate, called the “Gateway to the Sahara.” It will be a long 4 hours of travel, so you’ll have a lot of time to relax and appreciate the breathtaking views of the mountains and desert. Ouarzazate is famous for being the location for many great movies such as “Gladiator” and “Lawrence of Arabia.”
AitBenhaddou, that famous UNESCO World Heritage Site, is situated in Ouarzazate. It’s one of Morocco’s most visited sights, a clay village that almost seems as if it’s from a movie set; tall buildings and narrow streets add to its charm! After visiting AitBenhaddou, the Taourirt Kasbah is also an ancient site that you will visit in Ouarzazate. It’s a perfect spot to get to know about Morocco’s history. Your overnight stay is in Ouarzazate.
Day 4: Ouarzazate to BoumalneDades
Day 4 transports you to BoumalneDades, a small town in the Dades Valley. With a three-hour drive before you, you’ll be exposed to breathtaking landscapes that start with towering mountains and end with wide-open valleys. BoumalneDades displays majestic rock formations and picturesque given views. This is the place for peace, serenity, and nature enjoyment.
When you arrive at BoumalneDades, you visit the Dades Gorge, created with towering cliffs and twisting roads. Here you can walk along the gorge, check out the magnificent rock shapes carved by the wind over millennia, and then at the end of the long day of exploration, sit for dinner at a traditional guesthouse with authentic Moroccan cuisine. Overnight resting ready for another day of adventure.
Day 5: BoumalneDades to Agadir
The final day of the journey will begin with a long drive back to Agadir. It will take about 5 hours, but the drive through the small villages, green fields, and tall mountains is spectacular.
